Fire burns family out of their home

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters battled a smoky blaze in Franklin Friday morning.

The two story house at 1104 South Main Street caught fire around 9:15 a.m.

A neighbor told 2 NEWS she heard someone screaming ‘Get out of the house, get out of the house’.

She says a family of seven lives in the home.  The mother and at least one child was in the house when the fire started.  Two other kids were outside playing and their father was at work.

A 2-year-old boy is being checked out for smoke inhalation, but is expected to be fine.
