Police investigate 2nd shooting on Germantown St. in 3 days


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating a second shooting in three days near the DeSoto Bass neighborhood.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Germantown Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old man had been shot in the parking lot of the Food City store. No word on the extent of the victim’s injuries.

This was the exact location where homicide detectives were called Thursday evening when 58-year-old Jeffrey Farr was shot and killed. Farr was standing outside a van near Food City when he was shot. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Police are still looking for Farr’s killer.

It’s not clear if these shootings are related.
