Burn trail leads deputies to arson suspect

MEDWAY, Ohio (WDTN) – Clark County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man accused of trying to start a house on fire.

Deputies responded to an alarm at 1009 Beach Drive in the Crystal Lakes area just before 2:00 p.m. Monday.

They saw smoke billowing from the house, then saw a small “burn fire” in the backyard with what appeared to be a burn trail leading to the house.

Officers say Arron Kiss, 18, of New Carlisle, approached them to talk about the fire.

They took him in for questioning, where they say he admitted to trying start a fire.

Kiss is now in jail on one count of aggravated arson.
