Driver slams into back of parked truck

DAYTON, Ohio – A driver who told police she wasn’t paying attention to the road slammed into the back of a parked truck early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened on Volkenand Avenue around one a.m.

The impact caused the car to flip onto its roof. No one inside the car was hurt.

The driver was cited for failure to control.

2 NEWS spoke to the truck’s owner, who says he is now looking at several hundred dollars’ worth of repairs.

Sascha Deschamps said, “I am glad that they’re okay, really I am. But it’s just the fact that [she said,] ‘I wasn’t paying attention.’ That’s not good enough for me. You should have been paying attention.”
