PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Pre-conceived ideas about breeds of dog only reinforce negative stereotyping, says a local dog trainer.

Jason Jones, trainer for the company, Dayton Dog Trainer, softens the edges of the most difficult canine personalities.

Training, according to Jones, is what every dog needs.

“You have to have a good balance between obedience, discipline and affection,” Jones says.

The canine trainer has been involved with dogs for more than 20 years.

Spending that amount of time, he says, gives him insight into their breed, pure or mixed.

Jones says dogs are not responsible for bad behavior and are not born vicious.

He maintains there is no such thing as a bad breed of dog.
