DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Veterans Administration has a new head of patient services.

Mark Wallace was named the Chief of Patient Service. He will be responsible for coordination of benefits, clinical management and care at the facility.

The VA says the department works closely with veterans daily ranging from scheduling appointments to case management.

Wallace takes the helm at a time when the VA is under scrutiny for patient wait times.

He also comes at a time when the VA Medical Center’s medical director is in Phoenix working as interim director there.

Glenn Costie is scheduled to return to Dayton by November to resume duties here after his temporary assignment.
