BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A Bethel Township barn is torched in an early morning fire.

The flames sparked in the barn located at 5226 State Route 202 Saturday morning.

When crews arrived, they found the barn overtaken by fire and smoke. The worked to douse the flames so they wouldn’t spread to the home nearby. Mutual aid was called in to help.

No one was home at the time the fire started.

Flames did some minor damage to the outside of the home.

A vehicle inside the barn was completely destroyed in the fire. Other tools inside the barn were also damaged.

No word on damage estimates, but the barn is a total loss.
