Burglary suspect nabbed in the act

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police nab a burglary suspect in the act.

Bobby Birdsong, 18, was arrested on charges of burglary.

According to police, Birdsong along with another man broke into a house in the 2000 block of Shaftesbury Road and ransacked the place around 7:45 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the two stole clothing, money, jewelry, and a cell phone.

Officers said the two then ran toward Colonial Village. Police caught up with Birdsong on Parkhill Drive.

Police searched in the area for the other suspect but didn’t have any luck.

Birdsong was booked into the Montgomery County Jail. He is expected in court Monday.
