Man booked into jail for threat with knife

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A Dayton man is behind bars after police say he threatened a man with a knife.

Roger Lane, 53, was arrested on charges of aggravated menacing.

Police arrived in the 100 block of South Euclid Avenue just before 10 p.m. Friday.

The victim told police that Lane threatened him with a 5″ knife. The victim said Lane stole a barbeque grill to sell for money and put it outside of the victim’s residence and then left. The victim said when Lane returned, the grill was gone. According to the police report, Lane accused the victim of then stealing the grill. The victim said he then got into an argument with Lane and Lane threatened him with a knife.

Police caught up with Lane at West Third Street and Paul Laurence Dunbar Street and found he was carrying a knife.
