Storms bring hail, lightning to the Miami Valley

ANNA, Ohio (WDTN) – Afternoon and evening storms brought hail and lightning through the Miami Valley and we could see more of it Sunday.

Shelby County barred the brunt of the afternoon storm bringing 1 1/2 inch hail. Sidney also had hail measuring at least 1/2 an inch.

Downtown Dayton saw lightning Saturday night that shut down the Celtic Festival early.

Storm Team 2 says strong thunderstorms will remain possible through Sunday afternoon.  We have a mild risk of severe weather. Cooler and less humid air will begin to filter in from the northwest late Sunday and Sunday night.
