Driver eating food causes 3 car accident

BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials are investigating a multi-vehicle collision in Bethel Township.

The crash happened at State Route 235 and Route 40 just south of New Carlisle before 7 p.m. Sunday.

Officials said it appeared to be a chain reaction crash. It started when a driver was distracted by eating food.

Multiple medics were requested to the scene. Four people were taken to the hospital for their injuries. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
