MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WDTN) — Parts of the Miami Valley had severe thunderstorms fire up Sunday evening as a cold front came through the area.  It was a second round of storms since earlier in the afternoon.

It set the area up for much cooler temperatures this week.  The high Monday is only 73.  There is also a chance at some more rain Monday afternoon.  No rain expected Tuesday, but the high remains at 73.

At the height of Sunday’s storms Tornado Warnings were issued for Champaign, Logan, and Union counties.  There were no reports of major damage.  2 NEWS did find a family on the roof of their Champaign County home early Sunday evening repairing wind damage.

The Tornado Watch that was issued most of the day for the Miami Valley was allowed to expire at 9:00 p.m.
