CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — A storm rolled through Champaign County Sunday afternoon causing some damage in parts of the county.
Law enforcement is reporting damage along U.S. 36 in between State Route 814 and State Route 559. Officials are saying trusses and parts of roofs have been lifted off houses. There are also reports of apple trees uprooted.
A home in the 6900 block of East U.S. 36 was hit in the storm. A woman and her two-year-old and six-year-old children were inside the house at the time. Their roof is destroyed and will have to be replaced. No injuries were reported.
Champaign County was under a tornado warning until about 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon when heavy rains and winds moved through. Champaign County continues to be under a tornado warning until 9 p.m. Sunday.
