MASON, Ohio (WDTN) – Seems Kings Island will do just about anything in the fight against cancer, even shave people’s heads.

More than 200 people are planning to shave their heads as part of the park’s Kings Island Kicks Cancer campaign.

They will try to break a Guinness Book world record by all having their heads shaved at the same time. That is a lot of hair!

The attempt will consist of 200 heads of hair and 200 hairstylists from 26 Great Clips salons from across Ohio.

It begins at 10:30 a.m. on August 1 on International Street inside the park.

The current Guinness record for most heads shaved is 182 by the Cancer Council ACT in Canberra, Australia back in March.

Not one to get your head shaved?

You can purchase a soccer ball for $5.00 and kick it into the fountain for a chance to win a car.

Net proceeds of soccer ball sales benefit The Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More and Pink Ribbon Girls.
