TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Trotwood police say they found drugs and weapons inside the car involved in a fatal chase last week.

Police say they searched the car involved in the crash at Shiloh Springs Road and Olive Road. They found marijuana and two semi-automatic weapons.

The suspects have yet to be identified as formal charges have not been filed.

The two people in the car that police chased during a drug investigation were initially treated at the hospital.

One suspect had minor injuries. The other suffered a broken leg.

Unofficial felonious assault charges were dropped over the weekend to allow investigators to gather more evidence.

Police say until that time, neither suspect will be named, although one is being held in jail on an unrelated drug charge.

An innocent bystander, Agyasi Ector, 27, was struck and killed during the chase.

New charges are expected to be filed early next week.
