NEW YORK, New York (WDTN) – Delta flight 6093, which was bound for Dayton, had to make an emergency landing Monday night.
The flight took off from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) at 9:14 p.m., according to the flight tracking website Flight Aware. It was scheduled to leave at 7:35 p.m.
During the flight, Delta spokesperson Lindsay McDuff says the crew made the decision to divert to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) due to a gear issue.
McDuff says the flight landed at JFK without incident at 11:34 p.m.
LaGuardia and JFK are only 10.5 miles apart. A map from Flight Aware shows the plane’s intended flight path and the actual route it took.
McDuff says the airline is working to get passengers onto other flights.
