CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN)  Last year we told you about the Mad River School district’s need for school supplies and how the district relies on donations from the community.

The district is ranked 32 for the lowest property wealth in the state. Many families rely on donations to help their kids get the proper school supplies.

This year Epiphany Lutheran Church in Centerville is partnering with the district to collect school supplies. Boxes of crayons, paper, pencils and folders are already filled, but much more is needed.

Mad River District officials say they’ve already received calls asking for help with school supplies.

The Epiphany Pantry is spearheading the drive.

Sandy Houpt Epiphany Lutheran Pantry, “Last year on Channel 2 they did a spot about Mad River schools needing supplies.  We had already promised our supplies to someone else so this year we thought we would team up with Mad River and give them supplies from our school drive.”

If you’re interested in picking up a few more items on your shopping trip click here to see the school supply list.  Epiphany Lutheran Church will be accepting donations until August 10th.  If you would like to make a monetary donation the church is accepting checks with “school supplies” in the memo.
