TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has just confirmed the name of the man connected to a police chase that killed an innocent bystander.

Sources confirm that Aaron Johnson is being held in jail on a probation violation, but investigators tell us he is the suspect who they believe was behind the wheel during that chase last week.

Investigators say the chase started during a drug investigation at Salem Avenue and Olive Road.

The chase ended with a crash a short distance away at Olive and Shiloh Springs roads.

Agyasi Ector, 27, was walking near the abandoned Kmart store when he was hit by the car involved in the chase.

Formal charges are pending. A second suspect has not been named.
