Aug. 5 Special Election: 1 win, 1 loss

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The boards of elections for 14 Ohio counties had questions and issues on the 2014 August 5 Special Election ballot.

There are 16 local issues in total, of which seven are school issues.

Here in the Miami Valley, two school districts went to the voters for money.

In Warren County, the Lebanon City School District put a 5.38 mil renewal levy before the voters in a effort to avoid an operating deficit.

With all precints counted, that levy passed with 2,130 votes for, and 1,088 against.

In Clark County, the Northeastern Local School District asked voters to approve an additional one percent income tax to cover current expenses.

That issue was defeated with 2,227 votes against the tax and 2,074 for. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
