DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – In this week’s exclusive Crime Stoppers Report, Dayton police need your help finding one of the gunman involved in a recent shootout that resulted in a homicide.
At 2 a.m. on July 27, patrons of the Ashwood Lounge at 3500 N. Main St. in Dayton became involved in a verbal altercation which escalated to gunfire outside.
That is where 32-year-old Charles Burnett lost his life as he was caught in the crossfire between the two shooters. Dayton detectives need your help finding that second gunman.
“The first suspect was identified as he was injured in the gunfire,” said Det. Cayce Cantrell. “Still looking for a second shooter involved in the crossfire which fatally wounded Charles Burnett.”
