Miami Valley communities recognize National Night Out

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Tuesday is the National Night Out and several local communities are taking part. The goal of National Night Out is to foster relationships between police and the community.

Clearcreek Twp.

5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Patricia Allyn Park on State Route 48


The Dayton Police Department’s Neighborhood Tour Caravan will make stops at participating National Night Out community celebrations. The Caravan will leave City Hall at 5:00 p.m. and proceed to the following locations:

*Phoenix Project – Fairview Commons – 2262 Elsmere

*Residence Park – W. Second at Elmhurst

*East End Community – E. Fifth at Columbus

*Stuart-Patterson Park – 238 Baltimore

*Oregon Historic District –Park located at the intersection of Brown and Cass Street

City of Germantown

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Veterans’ Memorial Park, 75 North Walnut Street


6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Oak Park, 2055 Malcolm Avenue

Miami Twp.

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. next to Skyline Chili (corner of Kingsridge Dr. and Lyons Ridge Dr.)


5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Park, 201 Bellemonte Street


5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the City Hall Plaza


5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Salem Ave.
