Police say this all started in Troy around 3 a.m. when officers tried to stop the SUV the man was driving. Police say a female passenger got out at a motel and then the driver took off, heading south on I-75.

Vandalia police picked up the chase and put down stop sticks on National Road. The suspect kept going and ended up crashing at Wyse Rd.

The suspect’s vehicle hit a pickup truck head-on and crashed into a guardrail.

The driver of the pickup truck was trapped in his vehicle. Once rescuers got him out, they took him to Miami Valley Hospital.

The suspect took off running into some nearby woods. Officers from Vandalia caught up with him and took him into custody. He was taken to the hospital for head injuries.

Police say Curry was carrying a large amount of cash. They also say they found drugs in the car.
