DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A would-be shoplifter didn’t get far with the stash down his pants.

A loss prevention officer at the Kroger on Brandt Pike reported seeing a customer swipe an $80.00 family pack of meat and shove it down his pants.

According to a police report, the guard approached the man as he was leaving the store.

The report goes on to say that the man pulled the meat out from his pants, threw it in a shopping cart and took off running.

He got away in a teal colored Chevy Blazer.

Police say he was wearing a red and white plaid shirt at the time with khaki pants and a khaki hat.
