Crews call vacant garage fire suspicious

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials are calling a fire that sparked in a vacant Dayton garage suspicious.

Crews were called to fight the flames that broke out in the garage on Macready Avenue Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police they spotted people coming in and out of the garage in the hours leading up to the fire.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames, and nearby structures didn’t suffer any damage.

No one was injured. No word on damage estimates.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
