Jason Gau, 35, and William Holland III, 30, were arrested for assault. Jeremy Shope, 34, was arrested for firing a gun over a public roadway.

Officers were dispatched to Indiana Avenue and Buchanan Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on reports of shots fired.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a lot of commotion and a large crowd of people.

Witnesses reported Gau and Holland were throwing bricks or chunks of asphalt at people. Shope told officers he had gotten a text message from Gau claiming that some people were trying to fight him and his family with rocks and weapons. Shope told police he drove to the area and fired a shot in the air to serve as a warning.

The three people were taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
