DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating after a man in a distinct outfit reportedly robbed a Shell gas station.
Police were called to the Shell gas station located at 1951 Stanley Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
The cashier told police a man came into the store wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and what looked like a faded pink bandana and latex gloves. The cashier said the man put a plastic bag on the counter and told him to place the money in the bag. The suspect told the cashier he didn’t want to hurt anyone and fled the store with money from the register.
The cashier said the suspect got away with about $130. The cashier told police the suspect was shaking badly during the robbery.
The suspect fled the store heading north on Webster Street.
A K9 was called to track the suspect but lost the scent.
The cashier told police this was the second time he had been robbed.
Police are still investigating.
