TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Setting kids up with the right “do” to start the new school year, it’s what one local barbershop did on Sunday afternoon.
It’s also what’s working in the Miami Valley.
Free Haircut day at a Trotwood at Deeez Cuttz Barbershop has become a tradition
Since opening their doors five years ago, the local shop has offered its services to the community.
With Trotwood schools starting this week, the shop offered trims for kids from all over the Miami Valley.
First and foremost It’s always important to give back to the kids because you also gotta think that’s the next generation that’s coming up some day and hopefully will be taking care of us. 17
“First and foremost, it’s always important to give back to the kids because you also gotta think that’s the next generation that’s coming up some day and hopefully will be taking care of.” ussaid Shawn Wilson, a barber with the shop. “We just do this to give back to the community who support us and have been supporting us for so long.”
Wilson told 2 NEWS they’ve been doing this for five year,,and he hopes to be doing it for another 50.
