DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Save up some extra calories in your diet Thursday. Make room for a Dairy Queen Blizzard treat that is a money maker.

Local Dairy Queen stores will donate a portion of Blizzard sales on Thursday, August 14 to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Participating stores include Wapakoneta, Englewood, Piqua, Tipp City, Urbana, Springfield, Kettering, Huber Heights, Beavercreek, Centerville, Airway Road, Shroyer Road, South Smithville Road and Springboro Pike.

Thursday marks the ninth year for the Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day.

At least $1.00 of every sale will go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including Dayton. Every person who RSVPs via Facebook will add another dollar to the pot.

Visit the Kettering store on East Dorothy Lane between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. and you’ll get to meet Miss Ohio, Mackenzie Bart.
