Spray of bullets strike three Dayton residences

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Three Dayton families are dealing with damage from gunfire on their street Sunday.

Police responded to the 2200 block of Riverside Drive early Sunday morning. They found bullet casings all over the sidewalk.

They also found two homes with bullet holes in the walls and shattered windows. A third homeowner found bullet holes in his car windshield.

Police say a girl at one of the homes looked outside when the gunfire erupted thinking it was fireworks.

A police report says she saw two men shooting at the house next door. The report goes on to say that the girl saw the men jump into a red car and speed off. She described the car as a Ford Focus or Fusion.

The suspects are remain at large.
