DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Fire investigators say arson is likely to blame for a fire in the 300 block of Anna Street early Tuesday.

It started after 2:00 a.m. The first crews on scene encountered large flames in the back of the house.

Firefighters say no one has lived in the home for about a year. There were signs that someone tried to get inside.

Burned electrical wires posed a hazard to the firefighters, but no one was hurt.

The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
