Operation Football Preview: Centerville

CENTERVILLE (WDTN) – Centerville is one of the most tradition rich football programs in the state of Ohio, so when the Elks get a new coach, it’s a big deal.

Rodney Roberts succeeds Ron Ullery and became just the third Elks head coach since 1973. The other was the legendary Bob Gregg.

Roberts brings great credentials with him to Centerville after winning 55 games as head coach at Franklin the past 8 years. His first Centerville team is talented with Damian  Popp returning to the backfield after rushing for nearly two thousand yards and 20 touchdowns last year.

Roberts will put his own personal stamp on the program, but don’t look for any major changes in Elk Country.
