SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) – Sidney police charged three people in connection with a gas station robbery late Monday.
Just before 10:00 p.m., police say a man wearing a dark jacket walked into the Marathon Gas Station at 525 E. North Street and demanded cash from two clerks. His face was concealed and he had a knife.
After grabbing cash from the register, police say the suspect got into a white minivan, which headed south on Brooklyn Ave.
Arthur Leon Bennett, 25, is charged with aggravated robbery. Jesse Wriston and Norita Gleason are charged with complicity to commit aggravated robbery.
Bennett is also facing charges in connection with a robbery at the City Carryout on Sunday. Investigators think Bennett was driving the getaway vehicle for the suspected robber, Brett Copeland. Police say the men are related.
Authorities in Miami County think the same group may have been involved in a number of recent robberies in Piqua. Charges are pending.
