Store clerk not afraid of gun wrapped in a rag


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A store clerk ran into action after a robbery Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a man who said he had a gun wrapped inside a rag robbed the Dollar General in the 1400 block of Wayne Avenue around 2:30 p.m.

Officers say the clerk chased him down an alley and was able to give them a good description of the suspect.

Police quickly swarmed the neighborhood and found the suspect in a home on Fillmore Street.

He is now in jail on an aggravated robbery charge.
