Depression symptoms need to be monitored

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  The suicide of actor and comedian Robin Williams has highlighted depression and bipolar disorder, of which depression is a part.

Jackie Price, a program director at South Community, a local behavioral center says family members, co-workers and friends should watch for changes in behavior and mood – from upbeat to distraction, constant absences from work – all of that, she  says can impact job performance and family dynamics.

There are different levels of depression, from mild to severe, temporary to lifetime. Addictions to habits and/or substances come with the diagnosis.
