Truck overturns, causing sizable fuel spill

GERMAN TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – A truck driver overturned his rig outside of Springfield Wednesday morning.

German Township police say distracted driving might be to blame.

They say the driver lost control on a curve in the 1700 block of Ballentine Pike around 10:00 a.m.

He was not hurt, but there was a sizable fuel spill that had to be cleaned up.

A nearby resident says something needs to be done to make the curve safer. He says guardrails would be a good start.

The driver was cited for failure to control the truck.

The road was back open after cleanup was finished.
