City of Dayton gets upgraded credit rating

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Good financial news for the City of Dayton.

The S & P upgraded the city’s credit rating.

The rating changes from AA- to AA.

The city carries a general obligation debt of $6-million.

Both S & P and Moody’s credit agency cited the City of Dayton’s sound fiscal management and stable cash reserve fund as major reasons for their positive outlooks. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
