Police: Facebook photo prompts attack


DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Facebook post prompted a knock on the head for a Dayton man.

Police say they were called to a home in the 400 block of Burkhardt Avenue early Wednesday evening an reports of an assault.

A police report says the victim was sitting on the porch holding a baby when a man confronted him.

The report goes on to say that the suspect asked whether the victim was the person he saw pictured with the baby on a Facebook page.

The victim said he “I think so”, so the man sat the baby down and started hitting the victim multiple times.

The report goes on to say that the man left his baby there, jumped in his car and took off.

The victim’s mother told officers she wants to press charges.
