Troy man guilty of home invasion murder

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – The man accused of being the ring leader in a home invasion was found guilty Thursday afternoon.

Our partners at the Piqua Daily Call report that Patrick McGail, 18, of Troy, was found guilty of several charges including aggravated murder and burglary.

It took jurors nine hours of deliberations over two days to reach a verdict.

McGail shot and killed Nathan Wintrow, 20, of Troy, after breaking into his home.

McGail was only 17-years-old at the time of the crime, but was tried as an adult.

Two others are teens were also convicted for the crime. Jason Sowers is scheduled for sentencing Monday.
