Police: Shopping cart full of metal equals arrest

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man is accused of stealing scrap metal from the downtown Dayton Arcade.

Police were tipped by a man who says he saw Timothy Frazier, 51, walking down Ludlow Street pushing a shopping cart full of scrap metal.

The police report says officers stopped Frazier. The officers reported that the scrap metal in his cart matched that of metal sitting in the construction zone area of the Arcade along East Fourth Street.

Officers arrested Frazier and took him off to jail on charges of theft and criminal trespassing.
