Video: Jailhouse assault injures five deputies

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man is accused of injuring five Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies.

2 NEWS just obtained the video of the incident.  It could disturb some viewers.

Melvin Brown, 26, is now facing assault charges.

He was being processed at the Montgomery County Jail for a previous altercation when he jumped a counter and lunged at a booking officer.

A police report shows that it took five officers, two zaps with a stun gun and a shot of pepper spray to get him back under control.

The injured officers were all treated for minor injuries and are back at work.

Brown is in the Montgomery County Jail.
