Dayton commissioners act to give job seekers a boost

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A new intiative launched by Dayton City Commissioners aimed at getting people jobs takes its first step forward on Wednesday, August 20.

The goal of the organization Hire Dayton is to get Dayton residents hired by companies expanding in the Miami Valley.

A logistics and manufacturing career fair will take place Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Dayton Convention Center between noon and 4 p.m.

To register ahead of time, visit www.ohiomeansjobs.com/montgomery. Job seekers are also encouraged to watch the Hire Dayton webpage, http://www.daytonohio.gov/hiredayton.
