Purchase of Dayton Dragons a done deal

Dragons sell-out record

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Dragons are officially under new ownership.

Our partners at the Dayton Business Journal report that the deal was closed last week.

Palisades Arcadia reportedly inked a $40-million deal to purchase the Single-A affiliate that plays at Fifth Third Field in downtown Dayton.

“We are thrilled with the completion of the purchase process,” said Sakellariadis. “The Dayton Dragons have proven to be one of the top performing and well-operated teams in all of baseball. We have been to Dayton many times, attended Dragons games, and toured the community.   We really fell in love with the stadium, the experience, the fans, and the entire community.”

They bought the team from Mandalay Baseball Properties.

The DBJ reports that a formal announcement is being planned next week.
