Hospice expansion still on standby

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN)- Hospice expansion still on standby. A year ago, 2 NEWS told you Hospice of Dayton wanted to add an entrance near Wilmington and Irving Avenues, along with expanding the facility. So far, no work has been done.

Spokesperson with Hospice of Dayton, Vicky Forrest said construction is still in the planning stages.

“It’s still in development we don’t have concrete finalized plans yet. We are still considering the options as to what we might do,” said Forrest.

Also, there’s still a business along Wilmington that’s still under its lease.

“I believe it’s Radio Shack that is housed in that location. I don’t know what the lease end date is,” said Forrest.

2NEWS wanted to find out when is the lease up, and a call was placed.

The manager wasn’t available, however until that lease is up, Forrest says construction will continue to stay at a stand still.

Stay tuned to 2NEWS for the latest developments with this project.
