Trader Joe’s recalls raw almond butter

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Trader Joe’s is recalling its Raw Almond Butter products.

The grocery says it possible that products with certain date codes could be contaminated with salmonella.

The almond butters involved are:

  • Trader Joe’s Raw Crunchy Unsalted Almond Butter: SKU 91989 with a use by date of 28DEC14 thru 18JUN15

and

  • Trader Joe’s Creamy Unsalted Almond Butter: SKU 56995 with a use by date of 27DEC14 thru 18JUL15

The products are now off the shelves. If you purchased an affected item, you can return them to the store for a full refund or you can simply throw it away.
