WASHINGTON, D.C. (WDTN) – With all the vehicle recalls in the news lately, there is a new way to find out if your car or truck is on the list.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration launched a new online tool Wednesday. It allows car buyers and owners to use a vehicle’s identification number to find current safety recalls.

The agency also says used car buyers can check for un-repaired vehicles before they make a purchase.

37.5-million vehicles were recalled in the United States in first six months of 2014.
