3 injured in Clark County crash


CLARK COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – Three people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Clark County Thursday afternoon.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers investigating the accident told 2 NEWS a pickup truck was southbound on SR 72 and was turning onto Jackson Road when it was clipped from behind by another southbound car.

The impact sent both vehicles spinning out of control. Both hit a ditch and the car slammed into a pole.

Troopers said the driver of the car and a back seat passenger suffered life threatening injuries. They said the second passenger in the car was in serious condition. One of the victims was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. The other two were taken by squad to Greene Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the pickup truck refused treatment.

Troopers said speed and wet road conditions were a factor in the crash.
