Special honor through ice bucket challenge

ice bucket challenge in Beavercreek

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — Some Beavercreek football players took a break from the gridiron for the internet sensation, ice bucket challenge on Wednesday night.

One by one, members of the Ankeney Middle School 8th grade football team dumped buckets of cold water on their heads. The idea is to raise awareness and money for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.  The disease hits close to home for the team because a father of one of the players has ALS.

The 8th grade team then challenged the 7th grade team to take the plunge.
