Changes abound at Miami University

OXFORD, Ohio (WDTN) – Students returning to Miami University this school year will see a lot of changes.

Freshman are already moved into dorms. Upper classmen move in this weekend.

800 sophomores will live in three new residence halls and students will eat in a new Western campus dining facility.

Two more residences halls were renovated. Anderson and McFarland Halls have updated rooms and additional study spaces.

Among other new happenings on campus:

  • A new bike lanes
  • Two new co-majors
  • New fencing at East Quad residence halls
  • A new football coach, Chuck Martin
  • Kreger Hall re-opens with new research labs and classrooms
  • The geology and geography departments moved to Culler Hall while Shideler Hall undergoes a makeover
