SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – Area law enforcement are gearing up for some OVI checkpoints Friday night.

The Clark County OVI Task Force will conduct a rolling OVI checkpoint beginning at 7:00 p.m. It will be in the areas of Main Street in Enon and Routes 40 and 68 in Springfield.

A rolling checkpoint is one where they are set up in multiple locations on one night.

The checkpoints kickoff Clark County’s Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

A sobriety checkpoint will also be conducted in Logan County Friday night from 8:00 p.m. until Midnight on State Route 366 just west of Township Road 94.

It is a team effort between the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Washington Township Fire Department, along with Russells Point police officers.
