CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – Centerville police said Friday they are charging a Kettering man with criminal trespassing for walking into an elementary school.

Joey D. Thompson, 45, is accused of lurking around Weller Elementary School Tuesday, and actually going inside Primary Village North. Surveillance video shows the suspect inside the front door.

Police said Thompson initially told them he was in the school to enroll his child, however their investigating officers said that was not true. They did not say why he was there.

Centerville police said he has outstanding charges in Kettering for theft, and a warrant out of Xenia for traffic charges.
